Class 1 April 13, 2011 Tuning and 6 first Notes


Here's what we did in our first class:


1. TUNING:




2. The first 6 notes of the C major scale on 

the C string (second string from the ceiling)

C (open) D (second fret) E (4th fret) F (fifth fret) G (7th fret) A (9th fret)

Homework: Complete the scale (find the rest of the notes in the scale along the same string)

3. Songs on One String

A. Mary Had a Little Lamb 

 started on the 4th fret (note)

B. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle Twinkle went C,C, G, G, A, A...See if you can figure out the rest. 

C. See if you can figure out any other familiar songs along the C string.
