Class 3 Feb 2 2011 Chords and C scale in position TUNING REVIEW
Here's a little review of C, F, G7 chords and also how to play the C major scale in position.
So far we have worked on two tunes that can be played completely on the C string: Mary Had A Little Lamb and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. See if you can play those same songs using our new way of playing the C scale (in position) . Here's are some hints:
Mary Had a little Lamb starts on the Open E string. The four notes involved are:
C, D, (both on the C string) and E, G, (both on the E string. Remember the C string is the third string from the floor. The E string is the second from the floor.
Twinkle Twinkle little star starts on open C and then moves to G on the E string (3rd fret). The highest note in the song is A which played on the A string OPEN. The A string is the string closest to the floor.
Keep working on the chords for "Save The Last Dance for Me" Work on changing from C to G7, C to F and F to G7.
